Remember back in May when it rained and rained and rained? Well, for Kirsty and Joel it was to be a beautiful Clearwell Castle wedding and a bit of rain was not going to stop them or their guests celebrating in style.
Kirsty and her bridesmaids got ready in the castle in various large and lovely rooms. Whilst the Groom and his “boys” traveled from Ledbury in a VW campervan.
With the ceremony room full of loved ones, Kirsty and Joel were married. Both looking amazing – Kirsty, more so, obviously (sorry Joel)! With the formalities out of the way the couple were free to mingle with their guests and start their celebrations.
I always love this part because of the emotions of the day – everyone smiling and congratulating the happy couple and even shedding a few tears. Even the lawn games were put to use in one of the large rooms by children and adults alike.
The most touching part of this day was, for me, the speeches. Sadly, some years ago, Kirsty’s mum passed away and even though her physical presence was missed she was talked about and made a part of her daughters wedding day. I don’t think I have ever cried during speeches whilst I am working, but for those I did! Beautiful words spoken about the Bride & Groom, family bonds and living happily ever after.
I have said it before and I shall say it again – to be asked to spend the whole day with a couple on their wedding day is an incredible honor. I am very lucky to have shared so many people’s wedding day but this one will always be quite special.
May I wish you both all the love and happiness in the world
